Pre-Requisites:

  • Note that charge your phone’s battery to 60% to avoid any interruption.

  • Also, enable OEM unlocking and Advance reboot mode from Developer options.

  • Flash the latest TWRP custom recovery before going further. Refer our guide:

  • Enable Unknown Sources option from settings.

How to Root OnePlus 7 without PC

Method 1: Root OnePlus 7 using SuperSU

Steps to Root OnNow Plus 7:

Step 1: 

Download SuperSU.

Note: Do NOT extract this downloaded zip file.

Step 2:

Now power off your phone and boot your phone into TWRP recovery mode.

Step 3:

Now press and hold Volume up + Power button simultaneously. Leave both the keys when you see the fastboot screen.

Step 4:

Then use Volume keys to choose Recovery option and press the Power key to confirm it. This will reboot your OnePlus 7 into the TWRP recovery mode.

Note: If you are not able to boot into recovery, use the Reboot Recovery app from Google Play Store.

Step 5:

Then click the Install button from the TWRP main menu.

Step 6:

Then select the SuperSU.zip file which you’ve downloaded earlier.

Step 7:

Then swipe in the right direction to start the OnePlus 7 root process. After completion of the SuperSU flashing process, a successful message will appear.

Method 2: Root OnePlus 7 using Magisk

Steps to Root OnePlus 7:

Step 1: 

Download Magisk.

Note: Do NOT extract this downloaded zip file.

Step 2:

Just like Method 1, reboot OnePlus 7 into TWRP recovery mode.

Step 3: 

Select the Install option to see your files present on the phone.

Step 4:

Choose the Magisk.zip file which you’ve downloaded earlier.

Step 5: 

Swipe in right direction to start rooting One Plus 7 process.

The Magisk flashing process will complete within few minutes. Upon completion, a successful message will be shown.

Step 6:

To restart your phone click on the Reboot System button.
