Backup And Restore OnePlus One Using EFS One-Click Tool: Advanced Android users are always indulging in installing custom ROMs, rooting their devices or using custom recoveries like TWRP/CWM. Make sure creating a proper backup of all the important data and settings before going ahead to flashing Android phones with custom ROMs or rooting etc. As these processes might sometimes end up bricking the devices. You’ll be happy to know that the EFS one-click tool can be used to take backup and restore using saved EFS partition backup.

You’ll also be able to regain the lost IMEI data by restoring the EFS partition on the OnePlus One device by following the given guide.

Steps to Create Backup EFS Partition on OnePlus One:

1:- First, download and install the ADB Installer from the above link on the PC.

2:- Enable USB debugging on the OnePlus One. Simply navigate to Settings > About phone and hit “Build Number” for a few times to unlock developer options. Then go to Settings > Developer options > check the USB Debugging option to enable it.

3:- Plug your OnePlus One device to the computer. Once a pop-up message appears on the phone then make sure that the “Always allow from this computer” option is checked. Hit the OK button.

4:- Extract the one-click EFS backup tool (EFS-Backup-Restore.zip) file to get a folder having the name EFS-Backup-Restore on the desktop of your PC.

5:- Double click on the BACKUP EFS.bat file to run it to back up the EFS partition on your PC automatically after connecting device to PC.

6:- After finishing the process two files: modemst1.bin and modemst2.bin will appear in the same folder where you have the Backup EFS.bat file. Make sure the folder save in a safe location.

Steps to Restore OnePlus One using EFS Backup Tool:

1:- Enable USB Debugging Mode on the OnePlus One.

2:- Now, connect your OnePlus One device to the computer using its USB data cable.

3:- Go to the EFS-Backup-Restore folder, you’ll see the two files, modemst1.bin and modemst2.bin in that folder.

4:- Now, run the Restore EFS.bat file. Then the phone’s IMEI can be restored along with EFS partition.
